17 December: 5:16PM – a correction to the article was made regarding how fans can participate in the Underground Fans Challenge.
Now we all know that all-star matches with your favourite influencers are all the rage, so we’ve got another announcement to make for all you Wild Rift fans. Hot on the heels of the Pentaboom! Showdown, we’ve got the Creators Collision Wild Rift tournament – another event to end the year with a bang!
However, Creators Collision isn’t going to be your run-of-the-mill Wild Rift tournament, in addition to the regular Facebook Gaming Creator tournament, there will be a component for fans to get deeply involved with!
Called the Underground Fans challenge, the Creators that get to take part in this event will be determined by their fans. So if you’re a fan of one of these Creators and would like to see them in the limelight, here’s your chance to contribute! On the 22nd of December, 9 PM – 10 PM, all the eligible creators will be streaming Wild Rift games. The top 10 creators who receive the most amount of Stars during this period will be put into one of two teams.
Then, the fun part begins – the two creator teams will be going head to head against random teams of fans in a series of 10 showmatches throughout the day. These fan teams will be comprised of the first 50 people who register to compete on the day of the event itself. The icing on the cake – each victory will give the winning team RM1,000!
On the 28th of December, the two teams of creators will go up against the two teams of viewers in an epic showdown. If you think you’re good enough to beat your favourite streamer, this is your time to shine!
The following day, we’ll have the main event. Comprising of 8 teams lead by Facebook Gaming Creators (Soloz, Daddy Hood, Bexed, Ream Angkor, Obot Gaming, Charlie, Erin KARRA Gaming, and SleepyGodzillas respectively) they will face each other in a randomly seeded, double-elimination tournament for a cut of the RM60,000 prize pool. Talk about high-stakes gaming! This portion of the event will take place on 29 and 30 December.
- Total Prize Pool: RM60,000
- Champion: RM20,000
- 2nd Place: RM15,000
- 3rd Place: RM10,000
- 4th Place: RM5,000
- 5th – 8th Place: RM2,000 each team
- MVP (Most KDA): RM2,000
All games will be best-of-one except for the Upper Bracket Finals, Lower Bracket Finals (both best-of-three) and the Grand Finals (best-of-five). The first few batches of games will be played simultaneously, so if you want to catch the action of your favourite Creator’s team, make sure you tune into their livestream. However, once we get to the best-of-threes, the games will be played sequentially and you’ll be able to watch them with dedicated casters (HusKKiee and Flicker) who will break down all the action for you.
Psyched yet? More details about the tournament will be released in the coming weeks. Be sure to follow eGG Network for all the latest news and updates on the Creators Collision!
