Champions eFootball Pits the Best PES 2021 Players in SEA Against Each Other!
With not many opportunities to play football outside, the next best thing is running on the pitch virtually or catching the action on your TV screen, and if you're a fan of Konami's PES 2021, you're in luck. Starting this Thursday, we'll see the kick-off of the Champions eFootball tournament - a contest to determine the best eFootball club in Southeast Asia. Competing are teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and representing them will be both esports athletes and stars of the clubs. How does this work, you might ask?
There will be two categories for the tournament, Elite and Star. Elite will see professional esports players going head-to-head while the Star category will have star footballers from their respective clubs. No, they won't be crossing paths (fortunately?) and the Star category will be more akin to a show match than a serious fight, nevertheless, we can expect entertaining matches to be had. Here's the lineup:
- United City FC 🇵🇭
- Chonburi FC 🇹🇭
- Nagaworld FC 🇰🇭
- Persib Bandung 🇮🇩
- Buriram United 🇹🇭
- Johor Darul Ta'Zim FC 🇲🇾
- Ho Chi Minh City FC 🇻🇳
- Tampines Rovers FC 🇸🇬
- Mohamadou Sumareh - Johor Darul Ta'Zim FC 🇲🇾
- Beckham Putra - Persib Bandung 🇮🇩
- Worachit Kanitsribampen - Chonburi FC 🇹🇭
- Lam Ti Phong - Ho Chi Minh City FC 🇻🇳
- Pocholo Bugas - United City FC 🇵🇭
- Chitipat Tanklang - Buriram United 🇹🇭
- Mustache Band - Nagaworld FC 🇰🇭
- Dylan Goh - Tampines Rovers FC 🇸🇬
Throughout the five weeks, the teams will be battling each other for their share of the USD 9,000 prize pool. Champions eFootball goes live this Thursday, 9th September and every subsequent week, at 7 pm on our TV channel, and on the official Facebook and YouTube channel. Don't miss out on all the action!
