Arcane: a League of Legends Animated Series coming to Netflix later this year!
League of Legends fans who were jealous about Dota 2's animated series, Dragon's Blood that came out in March will be pleased to know that they won't have to stay that way much longer. Riot Games and Netflix announced today the launch of Arcane, a new animated series set in the LoL universe. It is Riot Games' television debut, and probably the first of many to come.
The series will be animated by Fortiche Productions, whom some of you will be familiar with - they're the folks behind a lot of Riot Games' LoL promotional animations as well as the music video for K/DA - POP/STARS, so the show will be in good hands. Despite being only 18 seconds long, the teaser gives us a taste of what to expect - Vi, Jinx, seem to be some of the main stars, and we get a look at the world of Piltover and Zaun. For hardcore lore fans, we're sure there's a lot more to be gleaned from the video, you can check it out below:
No word on the exact release date, but knowing how Netflix promos are usually handled, we shouldn't have to wait too long before we can watch the series. Anybody excited to see their favourite LoL characters come to life?
