Live on eGG: PCS 2021 blasts off on Friday, BOOM Esports revealed to be the final team

The two-week delay for the Pacific Championship Series (PCS 2021) Spring Split went by as swiftly as the beginning of Chinese New Year, with the weekly regional League of Legends tournament commencing this weekend (19 February).

The schedule for the first week of PCS 2021 has been confirmed, as shown below:

Some of the most renown esports organisations across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau will be competing in PCS Season 2:

  2. Berjaya Dragons (Malaysia)
  3. Beyond Gaming (Taipei)
  4. Hong Kong Attitude (Hong Kong)
  5. Impunity (Singapore)
  6. J Team (Taipei)
  7. Liyab Esports (Manila)
  8. Machi Esports (Taipei)
  9. PSG Talon (Hong Kong)
  10. BOOM Esports (Thailand)

BOOM Esports - hailing from Indonesia, representing Thailand - are the latest and final team revealed to be participating in the series. Expect to see some of your favourite players returning to the PCS battlefield, including Maple (PSG), AN (Alpha Esports) and Wako (BOOM Esports).

The CTBC Bank-sponsored competition comprises seven teams from the PCS Season 1, two new qualifying teams and one invited team. PCS 2021 will adopt a best-of-one double round-robin format for the regular season, before opting for the double-elimination format in the Playoffs.

PCS 2021 Spring Split Week 1 will be broadcast LIVE on eGG Network TV in English, from Friday to Sunday (19 - 21 February) at 4PM daily. The LoL series will also be available in Mandarin and Thai, with all languages hosted on YouTube, individual Twitch channels have been set up for English, Mandarin and Thai, and Huya for simplified Chinese.
