The likes of AS Roma, Fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas, are participating in the global gaming event series to combat loneliness during COVID-19.

It's a crazy world out there, no thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that has led countries to take precautions and restricted movements of its citizens to flatten the curve. And though it's been hard for us staying home 24/7, gaming communities have not ceased to find ways to connect the world through this harsh time. The all-new global gaming event series, You Are Not Alone (YANA), is set to make even more waves in the digital sphere, partnering with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to extend its broadcast across Southeast Asia to officialise it as a truly global initiative.

To be broadcast on Facebook Gaming and Twitch, the world's largest online gaming event will feature a plethora of events and friendly competitions for gamers worldwide to enjoy. Plus, sports and esports athletes - such as AS Roma, LAFC, Fnatic, Ninjas in Pyjamas, North and NoFuchsGiven - will also be participating to ramp up the fun, with games like FIFA 20, Fortnite and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege included too.

The UK-based gaming movement was founded to build connections among us to curb feelings of isolation, in the face of social distancing that's been enforced by governments. Aside from encouraging the world's players to follow good hygiene and health practices, it also serves as a fundraising platform to help frontliners battle COVID-19.

YANA will be held on 2 May at 7PM (GMT+8) for 12 hours on Facebook Gaming and Twitch. For more information on registration or if you wish to create content on the event, head on over to yana.gg or follow @10milliongamers on Instagram and Twitter.
