Another prospective individual emerges into the esports business world after an eventful professional playing career. EVOS Esports has appointed its former professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) player, Stefan Chong aka EVOS.Soul, as its Business Development Lead for EVOS Esports in Singapore.

The esports organization will continue investing in Singapore’s esports industry by way of its MLBB team, EVOS SG, and their continued representation at national and international esports tournaments. Said team will be participating in the upcoming MLBB Professional League 2021 (MPL Singapore) with a new roster and have expressed confidence in emerging as champions in the upcoming season.

At the age of 26, Stefan will be leading the organization’s business development initiatives in Singapore, where he will be tasked with engaging stakeholders for running day-to-day operations. These stakeholders include brands, government agencies, and the gaming publisher and developer of MLBB, MOONTON Games.

Prior to this, he has always been proficient at balancing his studies while gaming. Stefan holds a diploma in Aerospace Technology with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and has taken up a degree in Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology. He was also part of the EVOS SG team that represented Singapore against the world’s best MLBB players during the recent M2 World Championship, which was hosted in January 2021 in Singapore. Stefan has also represented Singapore’s esports team at the SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines.

“I am thankful to the fans for supporting me in my esports career thus far, and am grateful to Ivan and the senior leadership team for their trust in me as I spearhead EVOS Esports’ business development efforts in Singapore,” expressed Stefan Chong, EVOS Esports’ (Singapore) Business Development Lead.

“Stefan is a great role model and a testament to the positive impact that EVOS Esports has brought to the esports industry in Singapore; a student turned professional player and now appointed as our Business Development Lead to spearhead EVOS Esports initiatives in the country,” said Ivan Yeo, EVOS Esports’ Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “His deep insights on the esports eco-system will be highly valuable as we engage with brands and government agencies to elevate esports to the next level.”

We wish Stefan and EVOS Esports all the best moving forward. Don’t forget to tune in to MPL SG and catch the all-new EVOS SG roster in action when the Regular Season starts!
