Geek Fam Free Fire team announced, signs Tri-Nation Cup champions NOXSCAPE roster

Malaysian esports organisation, Geek Fam, have been full of surprises since the announcement of their first-ever Geek Fam Girls PUBG Mobile team last weekend. And it looks like they actually have more eggs hidden in their basket to crack open and surprise all of us, evidenced by another reveal today – Geek Fam have their own Free Fire professional squad now.

Here are the soldier boys who round up Geek Fam Free Fire:

Mohammad Akiq “Akiq” Akimi – Captain
Haziq “Haziq” Daniel
Muhammad Hafiz “Apiz” Azhar
Muhammad “Shoyu” Aiman
Noor Irfan “Raine” Haqeemy

If you were a viewer of the Free Fire Tri-Nation Cup 2020 last month, you’d notice that these are the same players who won the championship title and the US$15,000 cash prize, but as team NOXSCAPE. With an impressive 38-point lead by the end of the tournament, it’s no wonder Geek Fam were interested to take them in.

According to Sheng Wong, Head of Business Development in Geek Fam, he believes that Free Fire has a lot of potential in Malaysia, which is why they founded their own Free Fire team. “Statistically, as NOXSCAPE, they were the best and most consistent group,” said Sheng. “Plus, they have the willingness to improve and be better, which makes them Geek Fam material. We hope to nudge them a bit and bring them up to international standards.”

Geek Fam Free Fire will make their debut in the Free Fire Continental Series 2020 Asia Series Finals on 29 November, as the Tri-Nation Cup 2020 champions.

In other related news, Geek Fam Mobile Legends: Bang Bang are looking for new players to join their team. If you’re interested to try out or you know anyone who is Geek Fam material, here’s the link for the recruitment form. You can check out their Facebook page for more info too.
