Live on eGG: PMGC 2020 Finals concludes tonight

Although it’s sad to see what the originally-offline tournament could’ve been (what with the empty Coca Cola Arena seen during the broadcast) and numerous setbacks, the now-online PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season Zero (PMGC 2020) Finals remain as exciting as ever, with teams constantly trading ranks in the last three match days.

Four Angry Men (4AM) are at the top of their game, having procured four Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (the highest so far), with a well-balanced share of placement points and kills. Despite slight inconsistencies in their overall performance, one can’t deny that their winning formula of doing crazy well in their good matches has kept them within the vicinity of the top 5 in the past three days. And finally, Nova XQF are the other Chinese team to be the top 3 on the leaderboard, after slowly climbing their way up since placing ninth on Day 1; they’ve been steadily holding on to third place from Day 2 onwards.

For Malaysians, sixth-placed Team Secret may have had a less-than-stellar performance last night (on the other hand, they got enough kills to stay afloat in the standings), it was their Day 2 performance that got the Malaysian pride pumping hard when they won their first WWCD and had many good matches that shot them up the ladder. Day 4 would be their second chance at redemption, another shot for glory.

The PMGC 2020 Finals began last Thursday (21 January), with Day 2 postponed until Sunday (24 January) to sort out network issues faced by players. The top 16 teams of PMGC 2020 league stage have been battling each other for the highly sought-after PUBG Mobile world championship title and a share of the US$1.2 million prize pool.

The PMGC 2020 Finals concludes tonight (26 January) at 7PM (GMT +8) LIVE on eGG Network TV and PUBG Mobile FB.
