Posted by George Wong on June 25, 2021

League of Legends fans rejoice! The top teams in the region will be facing off again very soon, for the title of the best team, the lion's share of the $80k prize pool and two tickets to Worlds 2021. Featuring the same teams from the Spring Split, the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) 2021 Summer Split will kick off on 9th July and follows the same format as the previous tournament. Best-of-one Double Round Robin for groups, followed by a best-of-three playoff stage to determine the champion.

Here are the teams competing at the 2021 PCS Summer Split:

  • Alpha Esports
  • Berjaya Dragons
  • Beyond Gaming
  • Hong Kong Attitude
  • Impunity
  • Liyab Esports
  • Machi Esports
  • PSG Talon
  • Taipei J Team
  • BOOM Esports

With PSG Talon finishing 4th at the recent MSI, they look like favourites for the throne this season though we can expect some tough competition from the Spring runner ups, Beyond Gaming and Machi Esports who are capable of making upsets happen. Regardless, it's going to be an exciting month+ of intense LoL action you don't want to miss. eGG Network TV will also be broadcasting the tournament live from start to finish, and you can also watch it on Twitch (EnglishMandarin, and Thai) and YouTube.
