It was an exciting weekend of esports tournaments, with one of them being the PUBG Mobile Malaysia National Championship 2020 (PMNC) playoffs. After almost a month of qualifiers and matches, the tournament has finally come to an end, with LX Esport finishing in first place. The squad, which qualified from the Miramar Zone, played extremely well throughout the tournament, and dominated this weekend with 216 points, thanks to their 4 Chicken Dinners.
Congratulations to Tidur, Asta, Youtube and Minn – watch out for these players in the future. In addition to RM30,000 for first place, they secure an all-important slot to the upcoming PMPL-Fall MYSG League. The first to fourth runner ups, TRX Elementus, Team Bosskurr, Marlino inSouth, and AKA Rogue, will also be joining them in the fray.
Fun fact: 4 out of the top 5 teams at PMNC came from qualifiers, with the only invitee being Team Bosskurr. Fresh faces are always a welcome sight, but will they be able to go far in PMPL-Fall MYSG later this year? Only time will tell.
