MCP Majors S1: Top 12 teams advancing to the Grand Finals

After six weekends of back-to-back skirmishes, the first season of the Free Fire Malaysia, Cambodia, and Philippines (MCP) Majors League Season concluded over the weekend (6 – 7 March), and has finally determined which 12 teams will be duking it out in the Grand Finals next weekend.

Here are the 12 worthy grand finalists:

  1. Baby Argon
  2. Freedom Rumble
  3. AV Ligers
  4. Steady Squad
  5. Do Easy
  6. Geek Fam
  7. Autoknockout
  8. Divinity Esports
  9. VPH Velocity
  10. Supreme Assault Forces
  11. Fastkill MY
  12. WEWS

Despite a slow start in Week 1, Malaysia’s Baby Argon managed to stoke their fire and kept it burning all the way trough League Season. After placing third in last year’s Tri-Nation Cup, they’ve proven themselves to be deadlier and more consistent than ever before, bagging seven BOOYAHs.

Kudos to newcomers Freedom Rumble and AV Ligers for an impressive professional debut in MCP Majors Season 1 as well, placing second and third, respectively.

The other top 2 teams of the Tri-Nation Cup, Geek Fam (formerly NOXSCAPE) and Autoknockout, also successfully qualified for the MCP Majors Grand Finals, albeit at sixth and seventh place.

Nevertheless, regardless of how teams performed in the MCP Majors League Season, the stage has been reset for the MCP Majors Season 1 Grand Finals. The top 12 will be battling it out for the last time in a one-day all-out battle royale for their share of the US$34,100 prize pool, as well as the championship title that grants them access to the international Free Fire World Series (FFWS 2021) in April. The top 6 teams will also immediately qualify for MCP Majors Season 2.

Just last week, Garena announced its 2021 roadmap for Free Fire esports, including the return of FFWS 2021 – increasing its total prize pool to a whopping US$2 million – and the introduction of the Free Fire All-Stars tournament, pitting both professional players and the world’s most popular Free Fire influencers against each other.

Catch the MCP Majors Season 1 Grand Finals on 20 March (Saturday) at 1PM (GMT +8), LIVE on Facebook and YouTube.
