MDEC LEVEL UP KL 2020 Biz Day kicks off today!

MDEC's premier digital games festival, LEVEL UP KL 2020 started last week with a bang, with the SEA Game Jam and Business Connection activities. For those of you waiting for the educational content, you're in luck! Starting today, the LEVEL UP KL 2020 website will be livestreaming conferences from renowned speakers all over the world regarding various different aspects of the gaming industry. The best part about this? It's all free to watch and if you miss a live session, replays will be available the following day.

Here are some of our picks for the various conferences going on on all three tracks today:

9.45 am (over at time of writing, catch the replay!): Getting The Most Out of Steam, The Top Frequently Asked Questions - a talk by Alden Kroll and Erik Peterson of Valve on how indie game developers can make the most out of PC's most popular gaming platform.

Production Track

3.45 pm: Wan Hazmer sharing about No Straight Roads, Metronomik's highly successful game that was released amidst the pandemic a couple of months ago.

Beyond Entertainment Track

3.45 pm: In The Time Of Pandemia: an indie game about simulating the parameters of the coronavirus, and allowing players to take the role of public health officials managing the pandemic.

Indie Track

2.30 pm: The Art of Decision Making: How Mighty Bear Choose Which Games To Work On - how to decide what kind of games to make in order to maximize your chance of success.
