When celebrities and professional players come together for a great cause, you can be sure that their combined efforts would bring awesome results, such is the case with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang 2020 Singapore Charity Showmatch.
Not only did Singapore’s top teams, RSG (MPL MY/SG Season 5 Champion) and Kingsmen (PVP Esports Champion), participate, but YouTubers Jianhao Tan and Aiman of Night Owl Cinematics also made their dazzling appearances to amp up the showmatch on 19 December.
The professionals battled each other first to kick off the event, with one of the games making the debut of the Protect The Captain mode, where team have to protect the captain in or face the loss of a mid-lane turret for each captain death. The former trumped Kingsmen 2-1 in the first series, before the latter retaliated with a perfect 2-0.
In the celebrity showmatch, team leaders were given a random choice to change the rules of the series, including Protect The Captain, Mid Only and more, ending with Team Aiman winning 3-1.
Based on the high peak concurrent viewers (PCU) of 7,900 for the MLBB 2020 Singapore Charity Showmatch (both Facebook and YouTube), Moonton pledged to donate SG$21,800 to local charity orgasation, Club Rainbow. Thanks to the fans for making this possible! This will make a fantastic Christmas present for the children and families in Club Rainbow.
