New teaser confirms dates and 2 teams for M2 MLBB World Championship!

Shortly after the announcement of M2, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship, Moonton have decided to drop yet another trailer with more hints about the upcoming tournament. In the short 25 second clip, they confirm the dates for the event – M2’s Group Stage will be held over four days from 18-20 January, while the Playoff will take place on 22-24 January.

They also reveal two teams attending the event: EVOS SG and the recently rebranded RSG – seeing how they both finished top 4 at MPL-MY/SG S6 and the tournament is taking place on their home turf, no surprises there. Todak, Bren Esports and RRQ Hoshi should be easy predictions. But it shouldn’t be too long until the full list is revealed.

We’re still awaiting information about the format, and prize pool. But seeing how the tournament is only going to be 8 days long in total, it’s not likely to be a complete round-robin, unless there will be simultaneous games played. Regardless of the format, it should be one heck of a tournament with all the best teams in the world competing for the ultimate title.

The Facebook post also mentions Shangri-La as the venue, though it’s yet to be seen if it will be open to a live audience. Stay tuned to eGG Network for all the latest news and updates on M2!
