The first ever Peace Elite Asia Invitational (PEI 2021) crowned its champions last night, with China’s Weibo Gaming proving themselves as the elite Peacekeeper Elite/PUBG Mobile team in Asia.
On top of the championship title, Weibo Gaming were rewarded CN¥1,200,000 (US$185,217) for their victory. The Chinese squad had the highest accumulation in every single aspect, in terms of Chicken Dinners (six), 129 kills and the most placement points of 112, not to mention that they held the top spot since Day 1 – an impressive feat.
Right on their heels are Wildcard champions Huya FA and Mongolian team ZEUS ESPORTS, placing second and third, respectively. The former were 61 whopping points behind the Weibo Gaming, with the latter tailing from behind by 16 points. Even so, they maintained their top 5 positions throughout the three-day event before climbing up in the last day.
As for the Malaysian teams, Dingoz MPX and Team Secret had a tough battle throughout the Peacekeeper Elite invitationals. Starting out at eighth and seventh, respectively, the League Champions managed to climb up to sixth place with one WWCD the next day, while Team Secret dropped to tenth on the same day, but not before getting their own Chicken Dinner on Day 3. They ended their run with ninth and 11th place, respectively.
