The PUBG MOBILE Malaysia National Championship (PMNC) 2020 will finally open for registration tonight at 9pm (GMT+8)! It offers a new twist that would encourage more budding PUBG Mobile esports players to sign up.
For the first time ever, PMNC 2020 introduces Solo Mode as an option to its format, with the traditional team-based Squad Mode remaining intact. As the name suggests, players can now join the competition as an individual player first, before getting grouped together with other solo players to form a ragtag team in the second stage. It’s terrific news for those who were never able to participate in competitive PUBG Mobile because they couldn’t form their own team.
PMNC 2020 will be divided into three stages: Zone Qualifiers, Zone Finals and Playoffs. For the first two phases, PMNC 2020 participants will be split into four zones, which are Erangel, Sanhok, Miramar and Vikendi. These zones differ between the states of Malaysia, so it’s essential for players to correctly select the state they’re based at to be placed in their respective zones. Plus, all teams and players will be labelled as representatives of the state they registered under, which means they also have a chance to be crowned as state champions at the end of the Yoodo-sponsored series.
For the grand finale, the country’s top four Squad Mode teams and the champion Solo Mode team of the Zone Finals phase will advance to the Playoffs.
With a RM100,000 prize pool and four coveted spots to the upcoming PUBG Mobile Professional League Malaysia/Singapore (PMPL MY/SG) Fall Split 2020 on the line, expect top-notch battle royale thrills at PMNC 2020.
