The tournament will now be conducted in an online-only format to avoid escalating the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia.

“The show must go on!” as the old adage goes, and it rings true for esports fans who are excited to see their favourite teams prove their mettle in the competitive battlefield. Even though this year’s PUBG Mobile Professional League Malaysia/Singapore (PMPL MY/SG 2020) was postponed, well, we got good news for PUBG Mobile esports fans in the region: PMPL MY/SG will return tomorrow (31 Mar).

Now conducted in an online-only format to practise social distancing, PMPL MY/SG will resume Week 3 and pick up where the tournament left off to determine the region’s top PUBG Mobile teams. The official PUBG Mobile Facebook page announced that there may be some minute changes to the format and possibly some delays, because they’re still “fine-tuning” and adapting to the new structure. With Bapak Ah Esports currently in the lead with 729 points (followed closely by Team Secret MY and Yoodo Gank), who could topple the MasterRamen-helmed team?

PMPL MY/SG Week 3 will commence tomorrow (31 Mar) and conclude this Sunday (5 Apr).

For more information on the tournament’s live stream and schedule, be sure to follow the official PUBG Mobile Facebook page.
