PMWL 2020 East: Every team entering Super Weekend Week 1

Posted by Bryan Terng on July 16, 2020

Onwards to the first Super Weekend of the PUBG Mobile World League (PMWL) Spring Split 2020 Season Zero East Division! After two days of high intensity League Play (14 - 15 July), here are the top 16 teams who will be battling for a spot in the Finals for the first time:

  • Bigetron RA (Indonesia)
  • Team Secret (Malaysia)
  • Yoodo Gank (Malaysia)
  • RRQ Athena (Thailand)
  • King of Gamers Club (Thailand)
  • Valdus Esports (Thailand)
  • BOX Gaming (Vietnam)
  • GXR Celtz (India)
  • MegaStars (India)
  • TeamIND (India)
  • Orange Rock (India)
  • TSM Entity (India)
  • SynerGE (India)
  • T1 (South Korea)
  • REJECT Scarlet (Japan)
  • NoChanceTeam (Mongolia)

Unfortunately, for Morph Team (Indonesia), U Level Up (Taiwan), Free Style (Pakistan) and Nova GodLike (India), they didn't manage to secure a spot in the top 16 and will be missing out on this week's Super Weekend. Although they won't be able to earn any points to enter the Finals, they can make full use of the extra free time they have on their hands and regain their footing to progress to the next Super Weekend.

As for the qualified teams of PMWL 2020 East Super Weekend, Orange Rock are currently leading the fray with 122 points, after overtaking League Play Day 1 leaders, NoChanceTeam, who are now in fourth place. Close behind Orange Rock are - in descending order - crowd favourites Bigetron RA and BOX Gaming, who secured 114 and 103 points, respectively.

The pair of Malaysian teams have been performing similar in vein to yin and yang, with Yoodo Gank and Team Secret placing 6th and 13th, respectively. However, both teams managed to secure one Winner Winner Chicken Dinner each, and Yoodo Gank got the top 3 spot in two matches, bumping up their standings. Time will tell if Malaysia's PUBG Mobile titans will be able to adapt to the meta in time, but we wish them nothing but the best!

Catch the first ever PMWL 2020 East Super Weekend from tomorrow (17 July) onwards until Sunday (19 July), 8PM (GMT +8). The action will be broadcast LIVE on the eGG Network TV channel, as well as Facebook and YouTube. Be sure to follow eGG Network on Facebook for more PMWL 2020 East coverage.
