The Malaysian platform for future PUBG Mobile e-athletes is back better than ever! Not only is the PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) open to all future esports players, but the prestigious collegiate tournament will also be introducing its first ever Caster Search.

As the name implies, the PMCC Caster Search is a talent competition of sorts, giving future esports casters a chance to flex their hype voice and analytical mind, not to mention serving as an additional platform to start their casting career. A few chosen participants will even get to commentate the series to a nationwide audience, so what better way to begin your casting journey?

For the players, over 1,000 colleges and university students all over the country will be locking horns over a total prize pool of RM60,000. PMCC 2020 will be split into three stages: regional qualifiers, regional finals and a countrywide Grand Finals. The regional stages will be held in five different regions across Malaysia:

  • Central (Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Putrajaya)Β
  • South (Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Johor)
  • North (Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Perlis, Perak)Β
  • East (Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang)
  • Borneo (Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan)

The qualifiers will run from 31 October to 5 November, before progressing to the the finals of each region between 7 and 15 November. Finally, the country’s 20 best teams will advance to the PMCC 2020 Grand Finals, to be held from 27 to 29 November.

The champions will win both the RM20,000 winning cash prize, plus an entry into the next PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC 2021). The winning team will also be presented with RM200 Yoodo credit each player, as well as exclusive Yoodo goodie.

Lastly, a showmatch will ensue during the Grand Finals, with 48 lucky fans teaming up with influencers, PMCC 2020 teams and even pro players for a grand show.

PMCC 2020 is once again sponsored by Yoodo, Malaysia’s first all-digital telco, who has been active in championing the esports industry, having sponsored MPL-MY/SG Season 6 and the like.
