After Fortnite Chapter 2 and Overwatch 2, we’ve been waiting with bated breath for the possibility of PUBG Mobile Chapter 2. Thus, the surprise announcement of PUBG: New State today initially proved that to be true … until we realised that the latest mobile battle royale is actually developed by PUBG Studio, the original creators of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG PC) – PUBG Mobile is developed and published by Tencent Studios.
Advertising itself as the next generation of PUBG (100-player classic battle royale and shrinking Blue Zone included), PUBG: New State will instead be set in the near future of year 2051, with futuristic weapons and equipment to shake up the battlefield, as well as new gameplay features that innovate its foundation, like combat rolling to avoid damage. And like any new game, PUBG: New State promises next-gen ultra-realistic graphics and dynamic gunplay.
No release date has been revealed for PUBG: New State, but you can now pre-register for the game on Google Play. Pre-registration for iOS users will be made available at a later date.
