The Creators Collision Wild Rift tournament drew to a stunning close yesterday evening with the aptly named team Rule Number 1 coming out on top, taking out Team Angkor in the Grand Final.
The day started out with the upper bracket finals where Rule Number 1 sent Team Angkor to the lower bracket with a 2-0 victory. In the lower bracket final, Team Angkor managed to beat Bantai 2-1, securing themselves another chance at revenge, against Rule Number 1.
However, despite trying their hardest, they were no match for Rule Number 1, who seemed like they had Ream Angkor’s team’s number. No matter what they did, Team Angkor couldn’t secure a single victory and were knocked out by a clean 3-0 performance by the upper bracket winners.
Congratulations to Bexed, Syno, Fredo, Flare and Nash for their brilliant performance in the tournament. They walk away with a cool RM20,000 while Bexed earned an additional RM2,000 for being the MVP of the tournament.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Fredo in the grand finals of a non-PUBG Mobile event, so it’s great to see that he still has his skills in MOBA games. Perhaps a sign of things to come in the future?
Regardless, well played to Team Angkor and Bantai who walked away with RM15,000 and RM10,000 respectively. A great way to ring in the new year, despite the challenges we’ve faced in 2020. Looking forward to more great games and tournaments in the next one.
