It's been a while since the last international League of Legends event, so fans of the game will be pleased to know that their desires will soon be satiated! Next up on the calendar is the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational or better known as MSI. To be held offline, the tournament will be in the beautiful country of Iceland, and features the best teams globally who will compete for prize money and points to qualify for Worlds.
Unfortunately for Vietnam, similar to the situation at Worlds 2020, they will have to sit out of this tournament due to national travel restrictions. Here are the rest of the teams competing:
For Stage 1, the teams will be split into 3 groups based on seeding, with best-of-one matches, with the top teach from each group advancing to Stage 2. The teams will then go through a best-of-one double round robin, with the top 4 teams advancing to the final stage. Stage 3 will compromise of a single elimination bracket with best-of-five matches for all the teams involved.
Starting 6th May and finishing on the 23rd, that's over two weeks worth of matches to catch - one heck of a month for LoL fans!
