Call of Duty: Mobile might not get that much buzz here but the competitive scene is alive and kicking, for those of you who are interested. The group stage of the Garena Masters, a tournament featuring the top sixteen teams from Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines; ended last month and the playoffs to wrap it up will be taking place this weekend.

The remaining teams will be duking it out in a double-elimination, best-of-five format to win their cut of the USD 25,000 prize pool and championship title. Here are the 8 teams left in the playoffs.

Teams

Looks like there’s potential for a spicy final weekend, depending on whether the teams show up. Make sure you mark your calendars for 12-13 March, 3 PM (GMT+8) onwards, and tune in to Facebook SG/MY, PH, YouTube or Twitch to catch the matches live! More info.

Call of Duty: Mobile fans would undoubtedly be excited by the return of the world-renowned COD: Mobile World Championship 2021, but that's not all there is to it - they can even sign up for the globe-trotting and stand a chance to win the colossal S$2 million prize pool! Better to sign up and have a minuscule chance of winning than none at all, right?

There are four stages in the international tournament format:

Stage 1: Solo Play (8 - 24 July)

Players have to compete in 10 qualifying ranked matches and earn 60 points to advance to Stage 2 and points can be earned during eligible weekends only. So, if you're going to compete with your friends, they'd have to do the same individually.

Stage 2: Team Play (29 July - 8 August)

As long as you and your friends earned 60 points during Stage 1, you can form a team of five or six in Stage 2. Teams would need to win as many games as possible in up to 30 ranked matches and earn points with each victory. The top 8 teams with the highest points will qualify for Stage 3.

Stage 3 - Malaysia Championship (20 - 22 August)

Stage 3 serves as the local qualifier, adopting a double elimination best-of-five format. The champions and first runner-ups will then represent Malaysia in Stage 4, the Garena Region Playoffs.

Stage 4 - Garena Region Playoffs (September - October)

The top 2 teams from six local qualifiers will battle for the championship podium and be the sole squad to represent the Garena Region in the COD: Mobile World Championship 2021.

  1. Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan region
  2. Indonesia
  3. Malaysia
  4. Philippines
  5. Singapore
  6. Thailand

Players can also earn Epic blueprints each week during Stage 1 and Stage 2, as well as special Epic Operators that were designed by global influencers Hawksnest, iFerg and Bobby Plays - make sure to play 10 ranked matches in Stage 1 and 30 ranked matches in Stage 2 to win these exclusive goodies.
