If you're one of the poor boys or gals who can't afford a gaming PC or console to play Cyberpunk 2077, rest assured knowing that there's an alternative for you: Free Fire's Operation Chrono. Cyberpunk may have Keanu Reeves as their star, but Operation Chrono boasts football superstar and icon, Cristiano Ronaldo, as an in-game character, Chrono - plus, he's playable too!
Here's what you can expect on how Chrono looks and plays:
This active skill create a force field that blocks up to 600 damage from enemies.
You and your squad mates can also shoot from within the force field, so it's simultaneously an offensive and defensive ability. When inside the force field, your movement speed increases by 15%, and your friends will get a 10% temporary speed buff too.
If you think Chrono's skill is too OP, not to worry, the effects only last for four seconds, and the cooldown time before it can be used again is 50 seconds. Not to mention that the circle is a bit small so your movement is limited, and you're still visible to enemies when inside the dome shield.
Be sure to get the Cosmic Bounty Hunter Set to complete Chrono's look!
Will you be getting Chrono at launch? Let us know if you think he's worth the buy!

After the reveal of Cristiano Ronaldo's collaboration with Free Fire, fans have been salivating for more details on Operation Chrono. Fortunately, we just got word from Garena on what to expect from the latest sci-fi-infused update.
If you log into Free Fire right now, you'll notice an Operation Chrono takeover on the interface, with the addition of Chrono Missions to unlock limited-time collectibles. The spawn island has also been given a huge makeover, with the futuristic slums taking its place. But, if you long for the classic Free Fire aesthetic, there'll be portal that allows you to travel back.
Cristiano Ronaldo's Free Fire alter ego, Chrono, is an unlockable character that possess the ability to create force fields, which block enemy damage but not your bullets. Friends inside the force field will also gain a boost in their movement speed.
Free Fire Operation Chrono introduces two new game modes for players to take a break from Classic: Cosmic Racer & The Chosen One.
Cosmic Racer is a limited-time battle royale mode with racing elements (think Mad Max in a cool polished future). 15 teams of two will compete to be the last racer team remaining. You can play solo or with a friend, where one is the Driver - with the ability to launch missiles - and the other a Gunner, who will use weapons to take down other cars.
The Chosen One is akin to Team Deathmatch, but with a twist. Two teams of four will fight and eliminate each other, with points awarded for every kills - the first team to reach 40 points wins the match. Throughout the game, two opposing players will be randomly picked for one-on-one duels. The winner of the duel will earn Bonus Time (30 seconds) for his team, and every kill point will be doubled.
Cosmic Racer is available now until Christmas (25 December), while The Chosen One will be released this Saturday (19 December).
And finally, what's a new Free Fire update without more cool outfits, guns and the like?
A brand new in-game Vending Machine will also be available, allowing players to obtain items by using 3D tokens, which can be obtained in-game all over the map.

If you're a fan of football and Free Fire, you're going to love this news - Garena has just announced that Cristiano Ronaldo, the football superstar will be a playable character in their upcoming Operation Chrono update. Who says you can't kick ass with a ball-kicker? The news also revealed that Ronaldo is also a global brand ambassador for the game. While it's quite a stretch seeing him as a Free Fire character running around and shooting up people, it's definitely more palatable than his shopping app endorsement. With football being popular in countries where Free Fire is popular, it was only a matter of time.
Cristiano Ronaldo's character in the game will be named Chrono (Cristiano Ronaldo - coincidental? maybe) and looks to sport a mean-looking trench coat and a robotic arm. No word on his abilities, but we should find out more as Garena unveils the rest of the update in the future. Will it shake the meta up?
“It’s a great feeling having not only a character in Free Fire modelled after me, but also having the whole universe within the game changing along with it. The Garena team has worked into the game tons of new features and elements for Operation Chrono. I hope Free Fire players all over the world are just as excited as I am!” he says.
In the meantime, you can check out the Operation Chrono microsite or wait for the update to be released. Judging by the announcement, it should be dropping 19th December which isn't too far away but more details will be released before that. Get Free Fire on iOS or Android if you haven't joined in the fun yet. Be sure to check out our handy guide if you're coming from another battle royale game!
