Riot Games has continued to impress us with their marketing gimmicks since day one of Wild Rift. In addition to hype videos with KOLs, and All-Star tournaments, there's one more to add to the list - Easter eggs for Southeast Asian fans to find in their game! One that has caught the attention of a player in the Indonesia subreddit recently - in the background of the Launch Celebration Rift Rewards page, there are familiar looking buildings to be seen. As shown below, there is a building that looks very much like the Monas aka the National Monument of Jakarta, and a pair of towers that resemble the Petronas Twin Towers - the tallest buildings in Kuala Lumpur.
Talk about paying attention to detail! Seeing how hyped the game is in this part of the world, it makes sense for Riot to capitalize on the patriotic mentality of its players. Now Indonesians and Malaysians can proudly say that their landmarks are featured in one of the biggest games in the world! No word on whether there will be more landmarks or Easter Eggs to be featured in the future, but we won't be surprised if there are. Have you spotted anything interesting yourself? Let us know!
Wild Rift is currently available Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Timor-Leste and will be coming for players in Oceania, Taiwan, and Vietnam on 8 December. For Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Russia, CIS, and Turkey, the game will release on 10 December.
