Looking forward to seeing who the next big Free Fire teams are in Malaysia? You're in luck because we're about to find out our Malaysian representatives for the MCP Majors Season 3. The league stage of the Free Fire Challengers Malaysia (FFCM) that has been going on for the past three weekends will be concluding this Sunday.
From the league stage, the top 12 teams will be moving on to the grand finals of which the top six will be selected as representatives for the MCP Majors on the 5th of February. Most of the positions have already been solidified at this point in time, so we don't see that changing, but when it comes to the 12th spot, there are still a few teams in the running. It will all depend on how they perform over the next two days.
And when it comes to the grand finals, the teams will have to pull out all the stops if they want to make it to the top six and qualify for the MCP Majors. Will we see the usual faces again? Or will there be a new contender this season? Only one way to find out. Catch the remainder of the FFCM league stage on YouTube or Facebook (28-29 Jan, 8 PM), and the grand finals next week on eGG Network TV (5 Feb, 8 PM)! More info.
Free Fire is also holding Fantasy Team events for players to win in-game rewards and a new series called Challengers Game Show, featuring winners of the previous two MCP Major champions, Geek Fam and Blacklist International! Stay tuned to eGG Network for more updates.
The last major Free Fire tournament has already taken place this year, but that doesn't mean that it's the end of FF esports this year. Garena announced today the launch of the Free Fire Challenger Series Malaysia (FFCM) and unveiled its MCP Esports Roadmap for 2022. From 8-11 December, players can start registering for the FFCM through the game itself. Users need to be at least Diamond 1 Rank and Level 20. Eligible terms for the in-game qualifiers will compete on 11 December, from 1-5 PM (GMT +8).
The top 48 teams from the open qualifiers will proceed to the qualifier finals on 20-21 December, with the top 18 teams moving on to the League Stage for a slot at the FFCM Grand Finals. The FFCM League Stage will take place in January, and Grand Finals on February 2022. The top 6 from the Grand Finals will move on to the MCP (Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippines) Major Season 3.
As for the rest of 2022, the Challenger series will be repeating itself along with MCP Major Season 4. There will also be two international tournaments in 2022 but nothing has been revealed yet. Expect them to be similar to the World Series this year, hopefully offline (if the global situation gets better).
In the meantime, if you'd like to register for the tournament, make sure you have Free Fire installed on your phone (Android or iOS), and follow Free Fire on Facebook for the latest updates.
