At a press conference held in the National Museum on Friday, a group of students from Akademi Seni Budaya Dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA), representatives from the Department of Museums Malaysia and Muzium Negara itself announced the upcoming launch of a game called MAN: Journey Beyond History (MAN: JBH). An upcoming game with the aim to teach people about Malaysia’s past and entice them to visit our local museums.
Touted to be a treasure hunting and educational game, MAN: JBH is the final year project of six students (Seni Anti Sunyi) from ASWARA’s faculty of arts, culture, and heritage management. Players take control of the titular character, Man, a boy who is mysteriously transported back in time to explore Malaysia and hunt down important artefacts in the nation’s history in order to return to the present.

The Bahasa Malaysia game officially launches on 7th February 2022 and will be available on Seni Anti Sunyi's official website. Developed in Unity, the game is SAS' first project and won’t be their last, according to them during the Q&A session of the launch. It’s always great to see the work of students being endorsed by large bodies like the government, and wish them all the best. Hopefully, it's a smashing success and we look forward to seeing what else they come up with in the future!
Stay up to date about the game by following the team on their social media outlets.
