Itching for the next season of the League of Legends Pacific Champion Series? You'll only need to wait a little bit longer. Riot Games, Carry Live Co and Garena have announced today that the next season of the PCS is just around the corner, and will begin on 11th February 2022. What's more interesting is that there are going to be ten teams, with six of them being new faces!
SEM9 will be the representatives of Malaysia after the acquisition of Berjaya Dragons, it'll be interesting to see how this all-Malaysian lineup will fare. Arashi and Felia from BJD remain, while Shiro, QaspieL, Kirino and Clayx make up the remainder of the squad.
Beyond Gaming and PSG Talon remain in the league, while CTBC Flying Oyster was brought in to replace the disbanded Hong Kong Attitude. Deep Cross Gaming, Frank Esports, Meta Falcon Team, Hurricane Gaming (previously Alpha Esports), Impunity and J Team complete the region.
There will be a double round-robin to kick things off, with all the teams playing each other in best of ones. The top eight teams qualify for the Playoffs, with the top two going straight to winners' bracket round 2, 3rd - 6th in winner's bracket, and 7th - 8th in the loser's bracket. We can't wait to see how it all plays out. More info.
