As the world is settling down and getting used to the pandemic, things are slowly returning to normal. We've had a few announcements of big tournaments for games happening this year such as LoL, Wild Rift, Valorant and even M2 and PMGC taking place offline next week. For all you Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans, we've got something for your calendars.
PGL announced today that the next CS:GO Major, happening 23 October - 7 November, will take place in Stockholm, Sweden. Returning to the country where it all began in 2013, this will be Sweden's third major and Stockholm's first. It will be held at Ericsson Globe and have a live audience (hopefully the pandemic will be history by then).
The tournament will also have the largest prize pool in CS:GO history - US $2,000,000. Looks like PGL and Valve will be going all out for this event, as it will also be the first CS:GO Major to be broadcasted in 4K 60FPS, with new AR elements, a brand new custom HUD, and yet to be announced features!
No word on teams, ticketing, format and all yet but you can expect more details as we get closer to the date. Sounds like it's going to be one heck of an event! Remember to stay tuned to eGG Network for more details.
