The Red Bull Mobile Esports Open (M.E.O.), which has been running for the past few years, is finally making its way to Malaysia! Red Bull announced recently the arrival of its fourth season on our shores, so if you've been looking forward to participating in one of these, here's your chance.
This online-only tournament will be open to everyone in Malaysia and has multiple stages. The first being two National Qualifiers where the top 16 teams move on to the National Finals. The top 4 teams will then move on to the Regional Finals where they will duke it out for a grand prize of €10,000 (RM 48,385) and a Wildcard Invitation for a top-level esports series by Tencent. The tournament hasn't been named, but it wouldn't be a stretch to say it's for a high stakes national or regional PUBG Mobile tournament.
Here are the dates:
There will be 128 teams participating in the qualifiers, which will be distributed to 8 groups. Each group will consist of 16 teams. Each group will play 3 maps per day over two days of competition with a maximum playing time of 30 minutes per game.
Last year, more than 60,000 players from 28 countries registered for Red Bull M.E.O. Season 3. This all-inclusive tournament pits M.E.O. competitors against some of the best mobile esports players and other well-known players from around the world. Participants who fall short in the National Qualifiers would have a chance to redeem themselves in a Last Chance Qualifier in the International Online Qualifiers that will also take place during the 2-month event.
If you think you have what it takes to compete, sign up now. eGG Network TV will be broadcasting the finals live on our channels, so you'll have a shot at fame if you make it far. Good luck! Official announcement.
