Saiyajinn, Team SMG's tank player, is our choice for today's Player Spotlight. For those of you who think he looks familiar, he was previously known as Ax when playing for the XPAX X-ASSINS (alongside Smooth) in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Malaysia/Singapore Season 4. He has since switched roles and now is in charge of initiation and soaking up enemy damage. While he doesn't have the most impressive stats in the league, he gets the job done being the backbone of his team. On week 2 of MPL-MY S7, their 2-1 victory over Todak secured him an MVP of the day vote, thanks to his flawless play on Grock. Throughout the league, he has shown off his prowess on heroes such as Hilda, Chou and Hylos.

While Team SMG managed to only finish third in their groups, they have shown some brilliant flashes of gameplay throughout the regular season and look like capable contenders of this year's championship. However, the path won't be easy.

Team SMG go up against Season 3 Champions, Geek Fam in the lower bracket of the playoffs this weekend. Team SMG won their previous encounter, so this one should be no different right? There's a lot riding on these players to perform since it's a lower bracket match, both teams will be going all out.
