The growth of esports in the country has been tremendous over the years, with many new opportunities popping up in the industry. When you factor in how well the esports scene is thriving despite the global pandemic, there's no better time than now to get into it. But for someone who has no idea where to begin, where should they go to?

SEGi College recognizes this knowledge gap and has decided to address it with its upcoming Esports Content Creation programme. Announced at a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing last week, the college will work together with EVOS Esports and FSA Esports Management Academy to develop the programme.

Touted to be a comprehensive six-week course, the programme is said to provide its students with the skills and knowledge to carry out professional content planning, creation and roll-out for esports. They will also be exposed to basic pre and post-production techniques including editing, shooting, talent management and marketing.

Details on the program are minimal at the moment, but we can expect to find out more soon. Hopefully, this move sets a precedent for more traditional institutions recognizing esports as a crucial modern-day industry!
