It's a broken record to point out how most of the world is facing a global crisis, but it doesn't take away the insecurity that we are feeling for the future. Even so, since we're encouraged to do our part by staying in, we (eGG Network) and NetEase Games figured that we should keep the show running and bring you the best Southeast Asian esports thrills with Top Clans 2020, to give life some semblance of normality.

eGG Network brought Top Clans 2020 to over eight countries across Southeast Asia, bringing them the latest updates about the SEA invitational, as well as live broadcasts of the tournament on our TV channel. Top Clans 2020 started out as the world's largest Rules of Survival competition, before expanding its esports titles to include Dota 2, MARVEL Super War, TEKKEN 7 and Tom and Jerry: Chase, with the latter making its first-ever Southeast Asian esports appearance. A total prize pool of US$85,000 was split between the five games, with US$20,000 allotted to each game except for TEKKEN 7, which will instead feature a US$5,000 prize pool.

We are ever so grateful for the opportunity to assist NetEase Games in bringing Top Clans 2020 to the audience. Expect more future alliances between eGG Network and NetEase Games, as we continue to contribute to the esports industry and bring nothing but the best esports action to fans all over the SEA region.

Top Clans 2020 was held from 25 September to 8 November. Be sure to follow the official Top Clans Facebook page for more updates on the next series.

Top Clans 2020: Philippines’ IMPERIUM PRO TEAM conquer MARVEL Super War

Top Clans 2020: Galaxy Racer make Malaysia proud as Dota 2 champions

Top Clans 2020: World’s first Tom and Jerry: Chase champions – Team be8ind

Top Clans 2020: Philippines' AK emerge as champion of TEKKEN 7 league

History is made with the conclusion of the first ever Tom and Jerry: Chase esports tournament, held in Top Clans 2020. And part of this history, is the emergence of the world’s first ever Tom and Jerry: Chase champions, team be8ind.

What are the odds that be8ind ended up facing off against fellow Group A members, team Joyful in the Grand Finals? It was an intense finale which saw both teams trading cheese and mice excessively, with numerous fantastic plays in between. Although Joyful put up a tough fight for be8ind throughout the Finals before faltering, the Thai team managed to keep steady with their hard work all paid off in the end. be8ind returned home with the champions cash prize of US$10,000 in tow.

Grand finalists, be8ind and Joyful, were the top 2 teams of Group A.

be8ind have been on fire since the beginning of the series, winning every match they competed in. As one of two teams representing Group A in the Playoffs, they went on to dominate the final phase by defeating MrJunior of Group D in the quarter-finals, and team Vain Q in the semi-finals. The same goes for team Joyful, but the better team eventually won the entire Tom and Jerry: Chase championship.

Quarter-final results for Top Clans 2020 Tom and Jerry: Chase.

We’ve finally arrived at the second half of Top Clans 2020 Grand Finals, with MARVEL Super War and Rules of Survival concluding the Southeast Asian invitational.

Week 3 saw the debut of TEKKEN 7 and Tom and Jerry: Chase in Top Clans 2020, with the latter making its first ever esports appearance. The TEKKEN 7 league may be brief, but fans were rewarded with a series of close-knit fistfights and amazing reversals.

Let’s relive the results Top Clans 2020 Group Stage Week 3:

Out of eight participating players across the SEA region, it was the e-fighters hailing from the Philippines who dominated the Top Clans 2020 TEKKEN 7 segment, with SEA Games 2019 silver medalist AK winning the championship title and the winner’s cash prize of US$2,500. His fellow countrymen, Jules and Adrian, were also in the top 4, placing second and fourth, respectively. And let’s not forget about Malaysian representative, ZABA, getting third place too.

The TEKKEN 7 series lasted for three days last weekend (16 - 18 October), with Group Stages taking place on the first two days before culminating in a double-elimination Playoffs on Sunday.

Team Joyful

Group B

Team IMP

We’re halfway through the Top Clans 2020 Tom and Jerry: Chase group stage now, and Groups C and D will enter the arena between 24 - 26 October, followed by the Grand Finals on 31 October and 1 November.

As for the other Top Clans 2020 esports titles, they’ve finally entered the semi-finals stage, with Rules of Survival currently underway to determine the top 16 teams to enter the Grand Finals.
