Congratulations to Team ZBP from Singapore Management University (SMU) for winning the MGA UEL Valorant Series. After a hard-fought 3-day grand final event, they emerged victorious over the teams from Sunway University and Asia Pacific University. The tournament, which started in July 2021, saw the best university esports teams from Malaysia and Singapore, competing for the first-place prize of RM2,500, and a spot at the upcoming MSI MGA University Championship. The MSI MGA University Championship will kick things up a notch, pitting the winner from the MGA UEL Valorant Series against the best collegiate teams in the rest of the region.

Remember the University e-League that was announced back in June? The Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Wild Rift portion of the tournament has ended, and we now know the winners. With over 70 teams from different universities in Malaysia competing across 3 game titles, the competition was fierce, but here are the teams that managed to triumph through it all!

For Dota 2, it was Team MMU from Multimedia University, who went undefeated in the tournament and beat out Sunway University (2nd) and the International Islamic University Malaysia (3rd).

In MLBB, it was IIUM Mustang from the International Islamic University Malaysia who claimed first place, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka and Universiti Teknologi MARA, respectively, in second and third.

For Wild Rift, team No Luck from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) were crowned the champions, while Universiti Selangor and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan came in second and third.

The winning teams walked away with RM2,500 each, while second place got RM1,500, and third RM1,000. The winners of each game will also be representing their school at international friendly matches against other collegiate teams in Southeast Asia. Perhaps we might even see these teams stick around for the big leagues like the DPC, MPL, or even ESL Mobile Opens!

Once again, congratulations to all the teams and players involved for making it a successful tournament. There's still one more game that's ongoing (Valorant) which will conclude on 12th September 2021. Follow the official website or UEL Facebook Page for more info.
