Another PUBG Mobile invitational has come and gone, but this time, former world champions Bigetron RA took the cake once more in the in the fourth season of the Ultimate Warrior Showdown: PUBG MOBILE Asia Invitational (UWS 2021) last night (7 July), proving once again why they're the best in the business.

The Indonesian powerhouse won the three-day series with two Winner Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCDs) and 82 eliminations, coming out on top with 161 total points and a juicy cash prize of US$27,000. Though their Day 1 performance was decent enough, their subsequent matches slowly raised the bar until they eventually ended their run with one last WWCD and a whopping number of 14 kills. Even ZUXXY was awarded the MVP title.

Nevertheless, it was a tight competition between Bigetron RA and FaZe Clan, who proved to be strong competitors for the crown. The odds were pretty much 50-50 for the two, up until the last match when FaZe dropped out in 10th place. Nevertheless, they had the most Chicken Dinners (three) and placement points, with LIT Esports following behind at third - they were rewarded US$18,000 and US$9,000, respectively.

Alas, RSG Malaysia couldn't quite replicate their success from PMPL MY/SG Season 3, getting 12th in the PUBG Mobile Asian invitational. There were glimpses of their greatness throughout the competition, but the other teams proved to be leagues ahead of them. Even so, we look forward to seeing them rise again in upcoming tournaments.

UWS 2021 was organised by Esports Fight Club and supported by HUYA, PUBG MOBILE and Tencent Games. The PUBG Mobile invitational ran from 5 - 7 July, with a US$90,000 prize pool up for the top PUBG Mobile Asian teams to bag.
