It looks like the Valorant teams who missed out on qualifying for Valorant Champions 2021, are in luck. Riot Games has announced the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) for the tournament. Teams who haven't qualified for the pinnacle of Valorant esports events, taking place at the end of the year, will get one more chance to qualify for the tournament - all they have to do is defeat all the other LCQ teams to get the single spot.

For the upcoming LCQ, the competing teams will be:

Two slots for SEA have already been taken up by Boom Esports (ID) and FULL SENSE (PH), with the third one to be determined after VCT 2021: Stage 3 Masters - Berlin in September (we'll be seeing Bren Esports or Paper Rex as they are currently tied in points). As of writing, the last known team are REJECT (JP).

The VCT APAC LCQ will take place during 13-17 October, so make sure you mark those dates on your calendar if you're keen on finding out who will qualify for Valorant Champions!

Riot Games have been fully committed to elevating the esports community's experience, further evidenced by their latest endeavour to partner with Esports Fight Club (EFC), a worldwide esports & tournament organization platform, for the international Valorant Champions Tour (VCT 2021), particularly the Southeast Asian region.

As the official esports platform for VCT 2021's regionals, the Valorant Challengers, EFC will be producing customised rewards to incentivize viewers and participants to take part in its activities, including redeemable in-game currency, in-game items, and exclusive physical merchandise - all in the name of improving the experience of the Valorant SEA esports community. To prevent fraud from bots and artificial traffic, EFC will be utilising the "Proof of View" technology to ensure up-to-the-numbers viewership.

Of course, this is just one of several efforts by EFC to improve user experience, with tournament management, content and broadcasting in the works as well. The entire initiative is a holistic one, with EFC working with officially licensed operations of each country, such as The Gaming Company (Malaysia and Singapore), Mineski Global (the Philippines), ESL Asia (Thailand), and 1UP Gaming (Indonesia), to bring this to life.

Singapore's Paper Rex are currently the two-time champions of Valorant Challengers MY/SG 2021.

The Valorant Challengers kicked off in February, with the top teams of each region's tiered tournament qualifying for the international Valorant Masters 2021 to face off against other top dogs from other regions. Teams will battle for points to progress to Valorant Champions, with the world's top 16 teams competing for the first-ever Valorant global champions title.

Registration for Stage 3 of the Valorant Challengers begins early next month (July) across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.

The next level of the Valorant Champions Tour 2021 (VCT): Southeast Asia Stage 2 Challengers is here, with the Playoffs happening tomorrow (29 April) onwards.

After weeks of competition in the VCT Stage 2 Challengers SEA, the 10 best teams in the region have been deemed worthy to battle for a slot to represent SEA in the Valorant Masters: Reykjavik and lock horns with other top-tier teams across North America, EMEA, Brazil, LATAM, Japan, and Korea. On top of that, a US$50,000 total prize pool is up for taking, along with 270 circuit points that would dictate their overall VCT standings.

Here are the teams who qualified for the Playoffs with their hard-earned circuit points:

Pool A
X10 Esports (Thailand)
NXL Ligagame (Indonesia)
Paper Rex (Singapore)

Pool B
Full Sense (Thailand)
BREN Esports (Philippines)
CBT Gaming (Taiwan)

Pool C
Cerberus Esports (Vietnam)
Fearus (Vietnam)
BOOM Esports (Indonesia)
6045PIRATES (Philippines)

Teams were divided into groups based on their Masters 1 Masters performance. With Vietnam joining the fray, an additional third pool was opened to act as a small, play-in pool for the Finals.

The Valorant Challengers SEA Playoffs will be adopting a double-elimination bracket, with no teams from the same region playing on the same bracket side so that most matches are on a region vs. region basis. The upper bracket comprises best-of-three matches up to the winners final, whereas the lower bracket has a best-of-one format for the first three rounds, followed by best-of-three leading up to the losers final; the Grand Finals will be an epic best-of-five round.

Catch the regional VCT 2021 SEA 2 Challengers Playoffs action from tomorrow until Sunday (29 April - 2 May) at 2PM (GMT +8) daily, LIVE on Twitch in English. You can also check out the official VCT Challengers SEA - Playoffs website or Valorant Esports site for more scheduling details.
