Late last month, Malaysia was hit with some of the worst floods in history, leaving thousands of people stranded and without a place to call home. While the worst is over, many of those folks are still suffering the consequences of the natural disaster and need help getting back to their feet. The noble effort of some of the Facebook Gaming community did help to alleviate the issues, but there's still a lot more to be done.
Since then, organizations and communities have been working in tandem to amend the setbacks and the latest one to offer their help are Vertex Esports. On 16th January 2022, they will be hosting a 12-hour sim racing live stream to raise funds specifically for the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) who be putting it towards good use in their flood relief efforts.
The stream will take place from 11 AM to 11 PM and feature different racing titles. Here's the schedule for the day:
Sunday 16th January 2022
Instructions on how to donate to the cause will be provided on the Vertex Esports Facebook Page. The stream will go live on eGG Network, Vertex Esports, Adrenaline Impact, Galeri Kereta and DSF.my. Don't forget to tune in to join the fun on 16th January 2022, 11 AM - 11 PM!
There's no shorting of online sim racing tournaments these days due to the pandemic and it looks like the trend isn't going away soon. Adrenaline Impact and Vertex Esports have just announced the launch of another iRacing tournament - the Viper Niza Motul 12 Hours Race. A little different from other tournaments in the past due to the fact that it's going to be an endurance-based one. Yes, that's right - the 12 Hours in the race name isn't there just for show!
It's not often we get such races, so this should be an interesting one to take part in - assuming you have the stamina to do so. The Viper Niza Motul 12 Hours Race is open to 16 Asian countries in the region and features an RM10,000 prize pool as an incentive to compete. With only 60 team spots available, interested racers better sign up fast! Take note that there's a USD 30 fee for signing up (~RM 124).
Official Rules, Registration form.
This event is brought to you by Adrenaline Impact and Vertex Esports along with Viper Niza and Motul as main sponsors and Bespoke Motorsports as the co-sponsor. While Galeri Kereta will act as a media partner churning out laps after laps of mega racing to its viewer base of 1mil+ viewers. And as usual MAM (Malaysian Association of Motorsports) will be providing stewarding to ensure the highest standards of racing - just like in real life.
The tournament will be streamed on the Adrenaline Impact Facebook Page and YouTube channel on 13th November, 12 PM, mark those dates on your calendar if you're interested in watching!
After the success of the Asian Touring Car Series, Adrenaline Impact and Vertex Esports are back with a new tournament, this time joining forces with SDeal Gaming, Simmatch and Torqu3 Lubricant Malaysia to launch the SDeal Saga Cup. Another Assetto Corsa event, this tournament pays homage to Malaysia and its most iconic vehicle, the Proton Saga. Yes, you heard that right. Competitors will be taking the 1985 car onto the racetrack.
With how involved the country is in motorsports and how many fans of the sport we have here, it only seems fitting to have Malaysia's very first car as the star of this event. Because it's not the most common choice when it comes to sim racing, it's going to make things even more interesting to watch. How often do you get to see Proton Sagas in high-speed races of this calibre? Exactly.
Qualifying races will be held at the Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia while the main races will take place at undisclosed locations (for now). Joining the racers will also be a cast of invited drivers and influencers - whose identities will be revealed at a later date.
To make it worth the competitors' time, the organizers have got some attractive prizes for the winners. A VNM Shifter, an aluminium racing rig, Torqu3 lubricants, and additional goodies for viewers who tune in. If you're keen on competing, just head over to the official form to sign up. As long as you can race in Assetto Corsa, you're eligible. To watch the tournament, follow Vertex Esports or Adrenaline Impact on Facebook for the livestreams. Galeri Kereta, the official media partner will also be hosting a Corolla KE30 giveaway to celebrate exceeding 1 million followers, find out more!
There's never been a better time to be into e-motorsports - with the pandemic going on, people are getting their fix of high-speed racing virtually and there's another tournament to join the fray. Adrenaline Impact, Vertex Esports, Galeri Kereta, Reiber Racing and Android King have recently announced a new racing series: Asian Touring Car Series (ATCS) that will be played on Assetto Corsa, a highly immersive racing sim.
The qualifiers ended last week, and starting this Friday, 10 September, the ATCS will have 20 drivers face off in weekly races on 4 different courses throughout the course of the tournament. If this sounds like your kind of jam, do tune in for the Qualifying Post Show tonight, at 7 pm on the Adrenaline Impact Facebook Page or YouTube channel to find out more about the event. The ATCS will run until 1st October, with a series post show on 4th October. Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines!
