Valorant Episode 3, Act II Battlepass & "Fracture" Map Announced
The long-awaited next update for Valorant is almost here - if you're an agent looking for a change of scenery or new skins for your characters and weapons, you'll be pleased to know that Episode 3, Act II will be released on the 8th of September - a week from today. So what's going to be in this new act? We're glad you asked. Here's what's coming:
New Map "Fracture"
Valorant's seventh map which features a brand new layout new to the game - a H-shaped layout with Defenders spawning in the middle and Attackers coming from the side. This means that Defenders will now have to look out for enemies on both sides since by default they will be flanked in the middle. Fracture will also feature zip lines running under the map to connect the front and back and will be the first map to have interactive objects, further expanding the lore of Valorant. Riot Games also mentions that the map will be our first exposure to Mirror Kingdom and it expands on the "mirrorverse" and both kingdoms. It's definitely going to be a treat for lore enthusiasts.
The usual treats you get with each battlepass - priced at 1,000 VP, you'll be able to unlock new Artisan Ghost Weapon Skin with variants, new Gun Buddies, Sprays, Player Cards, Artisan Foil (melee) with Variants, Artisan Phantom, Nitro Operator, Nitro Vandal, and Varnish Sheriff. Yes, you read that right, this is the first battlepass to feature a Phantom, Vandal and Operator skins. Artisan and Varnish feel like luxury high-end materials, while Nitro is graphic and flashy.
Sean Marino, Art Lead, mentioned that they tried to incorporate a lot more jokes and memes into the battlepass after receiving positive responses in the past. Preeti Khanolkar, Senior Producer also stated that they are trying to create more "series" content for players who enjoy collecting items and that while the beta player cards won't be coming back, the Unstoppable card series will be paying homage to them.
eGG Network will be participating in an upcoming early capture event, so stay tuned for more news and update from us in the coming days!
