Valorant has taken the FPS world by storm and it doesn’t look like its stopping anytime soon. Last week we announced Riot Games kicking off the Valorant Ignition series of tournaments in Europe, and today, they announced two tournaments for our region: the Valorant Pacific Open, and the SEA Invitational.
Organized by Cyber Games Arena, The Valorant Pacific Open will consist of a US $20,000 Prize Pool and start in early July 2002. A total of 10 teams from Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore will fight it out for first place in their respective regions to qualify for the inter-regional finals that will take place in mid-August. Qualifiers begin 3rd July, with preliminaries being open for public participation. Registrations are now open until 1st July. For those of you who have what it takes, this is your best shot at the big leagues.
As for the SEA Invitational, it’ll be a more light-hearted event, featuring six teams of five prominent content creators and personalities from Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The teams will be fighting for a cut of the US$10,000 prize pool, and the title of the best team in the region. Participating teams will also be donating US$10,000 to GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund for projects to stop and prevent the pandemic’s spread.
