With the conclusion of the Valorant Pacific Open a few weeks back, Southeast Asian (SEA) fans are finally ready for their next dose of Valorant esports thrills in the Ignition Series, which comes in the form of a grand affair – the Valorant Royal Cup.
The result of a collaboration between Riot Games SEA and esports company Epulze, the Valorant Royal Cup will pit 16 competing teams against each other, comprising 12 directly invited teams and the top four teams of the open qualifiers, with the latter stage kicking off the Southeast Asian tournament. After the qualifiers, a best-of-two round robin group stage ensues, with teams split into groups of four. The top two teams of each group will then enter the double-elimination Playoffs in a final showdown. With a US$25,000 prize pool on the line, who will reign as the best Valorant esports team in SEA?
The open qualifiers of the Valorant Royal Cup takes place this weekend (September 12 – 13) and the next (19 – 20 September), with the main event running from 21 – 27 September.
You can check out the official Valorant Royal Cup website for more info. Competing teams and broadcasting talents will be announced within the next few weeks.
