Three more weeks to go! The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia (MPL-ID) currently sees ONIC Esports at the top for the second week in a row – they may have lost 0-2 against RRQ Hoshi, but their 2-0 win over Aurafire made up for it. Alter Ego are just one point behind the top dogs, having won two matches against Geek Fam (2-0) and Bigetron Alpha (2-1). Will there be a new leading team after this week?

League of Legends World Championship 2020

Worlds 2020 has finally arrived! The best LoL teams across the globe will battle it out for the world championship title, with the international series being split into two stages: the Play-In and the Main Event. The former will kick off Worlds 2020 with a six-day phase that will determine the top four teams advancing to the Main Event, joining twelve other teams who are apex players of their respective leagues.

The Worlds 2020 Play-In will be broadcast LIVE on eGG Network, beginning next Friday (25 September). For more information on Worlds 2020, check out the Leaguepedia page.

The Nationals Season 2 – Tekken 7 Conference

One of the most revered esports tournament in the Philippines continues its Tekken 7 leg, with the country’s best e-fighters battling it out for the championship title. The two best players of the country, Doujin and AK, have been performing spectacularly as expected, but Vermilion currently seems to be a strong contender for the throne as well. Will there be a new top Tekken 7 player in the Philippines this season?

The Nationals Tekken 7 Conference group stage concludes this weekend (19 and 20 September), with its broadcast available on eGG Network and The Nationals FB. Check out our TV guide for the broadcast schedule of the Filipino e-fighting series.

OGA Dota PIT Season 3: Europe/CIS

10 of the best European and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Dota 2 teams have been invited once again to compete in Season 3 of the OGA Dota PIT. Featuring a US$175,000 total prize pool on the line, the Dota 2 tournament begins with a closed qualifiers to determine the top two teams progressing to the Playoffs before the finale ensues. With the likes of Nigma and Team Secret as part of the lineup, any sane Dota 2 fan wouldn’t want to miss out on some top-notch esports action.

The OGA Dota Pit Season 3 for Europe/CIS will run from 20 – 21 September for the group stage qualifiers, with the Playoffs happening on 23, 25 and 26 September. The stream will be broadcast LIVE on eGG Network (check out our TV guide for the detailed schedule), and Twitch for online users.

Brought to you by the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Esports Integrated (ESI) and eGG Network, Sembang Game is a TV talk show featuring extensive interviews with some of the most prominent figures in Malaysia’s gaming scene, as they share career stories, insights on the industry and play some games while they’re at it. Next week’s episode centers around the topic Women in Esports, where hosts Jaasuzuran and Intanserah will be joined by a special line-up – MissRose, Sabrina Zainal, Fiera Fendi and Suki Lee of Gamebond – as they share what’s it like being females in an industry that has been progressive ever-so-slowly for gender diversity.
