Falcom and GungHo have finally put a date on The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake, and JRPG fans do not need to keep guessing anymore. The game is set for a worldwide launch on 17 September 2026, with releases planned for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC.

That release date news also comes with two extra updates: a new trailer and a refreshed look at the English voice cast for characters who properly enter the story in this chapter.

For longtime Trails fans, this is the big one.

The first Trails in the Sky remake is already out, so this second chapter is where things really start paying off. If you already finished the 1st Chapter remake, this is the follow-up that pushes Estelle and Joshua's story forward in a much bigger way. For players in Malaysia and the wider SEA crowd, a confirmed worldwide date matters a lot because it means you can actually plan around a proper day-one launch on the usual platforms instead of waiting around for vague release windows.

Falcom and GungHo also shared an updated English voice actor list tied to this entry. Not every name is brand new to the wider Legend of Heroes series either. Some actors are returning to roles they already played in later games. Two examples mentioned are Ray Chase as Kevin Graham, after previously voicing the character in Trails Beyond the Horizon, and Courtney Lin as Renne, a role she has been handling since Trails into Reverie.

That should be a nice little bonus for fans who have followed the newer English releases and want some continuity across the series. Even though Sky is an older arc in the overall timeline, hearing familiar voices come back can help make the remake feel more connected to the modern Trails lineup.

There is one small catch, though. While the new trailer is live and gives fans another look at the remake, it does not preview the new English performances. The footage only uses Japanese voice acting, so if you were hoping to sample the English cast immediately, you will still need to wait a bit longer.

Still, a date plus a new trailer is more than enough to get the Trails community moving again. Around SEA, Trails has always had that slightly hardcore reputation, the kind of series people recommend once you are ready to commit to worldbuilding, political drama, and a very long character web. But remakes like this make it much easier for newer players to jump in without feeling like they need to wrestle with older hardware or rougher presentation.

The platform spread helps too. Having the game on Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PC gives Malaysian players plenty of ways to play, whether you are the handheld type, a console guy, or somebody who just wants everything on Steam.

So yeah, if you have been waiting to continue the remake version of Liberl arc, mark the calendar. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter arrives on 17 September 2026, and the 1st Chapter remake is already available now on the same platforms if you still need to catch up first.
