Microsoft 推出了三款全新的 Surface Laptop for Business，搭載 Intel 的 Panther Lake processors，然後對，這些不是你平時 Shopee 看到那種普通 laptop deal 機器。
新 lineup 包括 Surface Laptop for Business 13-inch，以及更新版的 13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop for Business models。三款都是瞄準公司、IT 部門、enterprise buyers，以及需要 premium Windows hardware 來工作的用戶——這也解釋了那個很 sakit 的價格。
Surface Laptop for Business 13-inch：最小、最便宜，但還是不便宜
入門款是全新的 13-inch Surface Laptop for Business，起價 US$1,299，配置是 8GB RAM and 256GB storage。不過這個較低價版本要今年稍後才會推出。目前能買到的最低配置是 US$1,499，配 16GB RAM。
對 Malaysia 買家來說，這大概落在 RM6,100 到 RM7,000+，還沒算稅務、關稅、本地 warranty markup 或 reseller pricing。所以 yes bro，這比較像 corporate procurement，不是 casual student laptop。
Specs 方面，所有 13-inch models 都配備 Intel Core Ultra 5 325、LPDDR5x onboard memory，以及 PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD。螢幕是 13-inch 3:2 touchscreen，解析度 1920 x 1280，60Hz refresh rate。

Bigger models 帶來更強效能和更 sharp 的 displays
13.8-inch and 15-inch Surface Laptop for Business models 才是比較有看頭的部分。這些可以配置 Intel Core Ultra 5 335 或 Core Ultra X7 368H processor。Core Ultra X7 版本包含 Intel Arc B390 12-core integrated graphics，Liliputing 指出它的表現應該會更接近 entry-level dedicated GPU 的水準。
這不會突然把 Surface Laptop 變成 gaming beast，但對 SEA users 來說，如果你有做輕量 creative work、cloud gaming、esports 觀賽、office multitasking，或者下班後玩一些較輕的 titles，額外的 GPU muscle 是有差的。
13.8-inch model 也有 Core Ultra 7 366H 選項，提供 16-core CPU，但沒有 Intel Arc graphics。
較大的 laptops 最高支援 64GB RAM，而 13-inch model 最高到 24GB RAM。如果你的工作會開大量 browser tabs、Teams calls、Excel monsters、design tools 或 dev environments，這差距很大。
Display upgrades 也很明顯：
- 13.8-inch model: 2304 x 1536 touchscreen, 120Hz, 201ppi
- 15-inch model: 3270 x 2180 touchscreen, 262ppi
較小的 13-inch model 是 178ppi，所以如果你很在意 screen sharpness，較大的型號明顯是 premium picks。
Privacy screen 和 enterprise touches
其中一個值得注意的新功能，是 13.8-inch Surface Laptop for Business 可選配 integrated privacy screen。它會限制 viewing angles，讓坐在你旁邊或後面的人更難偷看你的螢幕。
這在 Malaysia 和 SEA 其實很實用，尤其如果你常在 cafes、airports、coworking spaces 或 open offices 工作，大家基本上都是 shoulder-to-shoulder 坐著。不 flashy，但非常 practical。
某些 markets 的某些版本也包括 Smart Card reader，這再次指向它的 target market：enterprise、government、finance，以及有更嚴格 security requirements 的公司。
Price check：只給 premium 玩家
較大的 models 價格明顯更高。13.8-inch Surface Laptop for Business starts at US$1,950，而 15-inch model starts at US$2,150。粗略換算，大概是 RM9,200 到 RM10,100+，還沒算本地定價因素。
Microsoft 也加入了它稱為 advanced haptics 的功能，讓更多 Windows actions 像 snapping windows、resizing、dragging and dropping 都有 tactile feedback。一些 third-party apps 預計也會支援這些 haptic interactions。
Malaysia 應該 care 嗎？
對普通買家來說，可能只有在公司買單時才值得考慮。這些 machines 很 polished、portable，也非常 capable，但 pricing 已經遠高於 mainstream consumer laptops，甚至比很多你在本地能買到的 gaming laptops 還高。
但對 businesses 來說，Panther Lake chips、WiFi 7、更好的 webcams、high-res displays、security options 和更輕的 chassis 這個組合是合理的。如果 Microsoft Malaysia 或本地 enterprise resellers 引進並提供 proper support，這些可能會成為想要 premium Windows laptops、但不想走 MacBook route 的 teams 的吸引選擇。
不過，對大多數 gamers 和 students 來說：先欣賞，之後等 consumer models 或 discounts 比較實際。
