Core Ultra 7 270K Plus 屬於 Intel 為 LGA1851 socket 推出的 Arrow Lake Refresh lineup。根據來源資料，這顆 chip 本身已經有很強的效能，但真正有趣的是它被推得更狠之後的表現：在 overclocking 之下，270K Plus 甚至可以超越 Intel 的 Core Ultra 9 285K，而後者之前可是 Arrow Lake 的 flagship。
這種細節就是會讓 enthusiast builders 直接坐直的東西。如果 Core Ultra 7 270K Plus 能夠在保持更好 price-to-performance ratio 的同時交出這種等級的效能，那它對於不想一開口就付 flagship 價格、只為了追 top-tier numbers 的 gamers 和 creators 來說，就會變成很有吸引力的選項。
問題是？這不是普通 boxed CPU。Thermal Grizzly 的版本已經由自家受訓員工完成 delidding，然後在開賣前經過 validation。Delidding 的意思是 processor 的 integrated heatspreader——基本上就是 chip 上方那片金屬「蓋子」——已經被移除。這可以讓相容的 coolers 更貼近 silicon 本身，如果處理得當，heat transfer 可以大幅提升。
