Bandai Namco is giving Animal Crossing collectors another shot at some very cute shelf bait. A selection of Animal Crossing: New Horizons flocked figures is returning in Japan this September 2026, priced at 500 yen each — roughly around RM14 before any import fees or local reseller markup.
For Malaysian and SEA fans, this is the kind of release worth keeping an eye on early. Animal Crossing merch can be weirdly inconsistent here: sometimes it shows up through hobby shops, sometimes via Shopee and Lazada import sellers, and sometimes you only see it after the price already naik gila. Since the earlier versions of these figures eventually appeared through retailers like Amazon and other international stores, there is a decent chance this rerun will travel outside Japan too.
Not blind boxes, thank goodness
The best part? These are not blind box figures. You will know exactly which character you are buying, which is a small miracle for collectors who are tired of paying extra just to avoid duplicates.
Bandai Namco is bringing back 10 characters from earlier waves of its Animal Crossing: New Horizons flocked figure line. The returning lineup includes:
- Dom
- Flurry
- Isabelle
- Marshal
- Tom Nook
- K.K. Slider
- Raymond
- Timmy
- Tommy
- Judy
That is a pretty strong mix, especially if you missed the original run. Isabelle and Tom Nook are the obvious mascots, K.K. Slider is basically mandatory for any proper Animal Crossing display, while Raymond and Judy are the kind of villagers who used to dominate fan wishlists during New Horizons peak hype.
Each figure comes with a clear plastic stand, so they are made for display rather than just sitting loose on your desk. They are also tiny — under two inches tall — with smaller villagers like Flurry and Marshal being even more compact. Each box also includes a piece of gum, because this is very much that classic Japanese candy toy format.
Should existing collectors buy again?
Probably not, unless you really want backups or missed specific characters.
Siliconera notes that these rerun figures are identical to the earlier releases. The first wave originally launched in Japan back in 2021, with later volumes following after that, including a third volume in 2022. So if your collection is already complete, this is more of a restock than a new line.
But for everyone who got into Animal Crossing merch late, this is actually good news. New Horizons may no longer be the lockdown-era monster it once was, but the game still has a huge casual fanbase across Malaysia and Southeast Asia. It is also one of those Nintendo series where merch appeals beyond hardcore gamers — desk setup people, cozy gaming fans, figure collectors, and even non-gamers who just like the characters.
The Japan release is confirmed for September 2026. A worldwide rollout has not been officially announced yet, but given how the previous figures eventually reached wider retail, SEA collectors should watch import stores, Amazon listings, and local hobby sellers once Japan stock starts moving.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available on Nintendo Switch and playable on Switch 2.
