Animal Crossing fans, your shelf is about to get a bit more Nook-coded.

Nintendo and Lego have revealed a new Animal Crossing Lego set called Timmy & Tommy’s Fun Day Out, and this one is a little different from the earlier town-building style releases. Instead of focusing on shops or larger buildings, the new set puts the Nooklings themselves front and centre, complete with a small outdoor play scene built around classic Animal Crossing activities.

The set is scheduled to launch on 1 August 2026. According to the official listing, it is priced at US$59.99. For Malaysian collectors, that roughly works out to around RM280 before local taxes, shipping or retailer markups, so don’t be shocked if the final shelf price here lands higher once it reaches local Lego stores or import sellers.

What’s in the Timmy & Tommy Lego set?

The set includes buildable versions of Timmy and Tommy, the iconic Nooklings who have been quietly taking our Bells for years. Both figures come with movable arms and can hold accessories such as a fishing pole and a flag.

The display area also includes several interactive touches that feel properly Animal Crossing. There is a water ripple section with two fish that can spin, plus a dig spot hiding an unidentified fossil. The classic floating present also makes an appearance, and it can store a recipe card inside.

Once everything is built, Timmy and Tommy can be placed on the bridge-style scene alongside flowers and bugs. If you prefer a cleaner desk display, the figures can also be removed and shown on their own.

One small detail collectors should note: the set does not include extra face parts. That means one Nookling will always have closed eyes, while the other keeps an open-eyed expression.

Piece count, size and age rating

Timmy & Tommy’s Fun Day Out comes with 513 pieces. When fully assembled, the build measures about 7.5 inches tall and 9 inches long. Lego recommends the set for builders aged 10 and above.

The accessories, including the flowers and flying present, can be arranged however you like, so there is still some room to make the scene feel a bit personal. It is not a massive build, but it sounds like the kind of compact display piece that fits nicely on a gaming desk, bookshelf or Switch setup corner.

Why Malaysian and SEA fans should care

Animal Crossing has always had a strong cozy-game crowd in SEA, especially among Switch owners who spent way too many hours in New Horizons decorating islands, trading turnips and hunting villagers. This Lego set taps into that same comfort zone: cute characters, small daily-life details and a display that does not need a huge amount of space.

For Malaysian fans, this is also the kind of collectible that may become popular as a gift item. It is recognisable, family-friendly and not locked behind deep game knowledge. Even casual Nintendo fans know Timmy and Tommy.

The main thing to watch is local availability. The set is listed for a worldwide launch, but Malaysia pricing and stock will likely depend on Lego Certified Stores, major toy retailers and online sellers closer to release. If you are the type who collects Nintendo Lego, maybe don’t wait too long once pre-orders or local listings go live.

The Animal Crossing Timmy & Tommy’s Fun Day Out Lego set launches on 1 August 2026 worldwide. The latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons game is available globally on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
