The endgame for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War is finally taking shape. The anime’s fourth and final part, officially titled Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity, has revealed a new trailer, giving fans another look at the last phase of the Soul Society vs Quincy war.

According to the update, the final season will first get a limited U.S. theatrical run from June 25 to June 29, before beginning its Japanese TV broadcast in July 2026.

For Malaysian and SEA fans, the big thing to watch now is the streaming rollout. BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War has been available on Disney+ and Hulu, so local fans will definitely be keeping an eye on Disney+ availability closer to release. This arc has become one of those “don’t open Twitter/X unless you’ve watched the episode” anime, so timing matters a lot, bro.

The final arc is almost complete

Thousand-Year Blood War is the anime adaptation of BLEACH’s final manga arc, produced as a four-part project by Studio Pierrot under its PIERROT FILMS label. It brought the series back in a massive way, not just as nostalgia bait, but as a proper modern shonen production with sharper fights, heavier direction, and more room to flesh out the manga’s ending.

Part 1, The Blood Warfare, arrived in October 2022 and threw fans straight into chaos: the Quincy invasion, Yhwach’s return, Soul Society taking heavy losses, and Ichigo beginning to understand the truth behind his powers. It also introduced the Sternritter as the main threat and went on to win Best Anime of Fall 2022.

Part 2, The Separation, followed in Summer 2023, shifting the story into recovery mode while still keeping the pressure high. Ichigo reforged his Zanpakuto, the Quincy backstory got more focus, and the clash between the Soul Reapers and Wandenreich continued. It finished as runner-up for Best Anime of Summer 2023, behind Bungo Stray Dogs.

Then came Part 3, The Conflict, which premiered on October 5, 2024. That season pushed deeper into the war’s major captain-level battles, big losses, and anime-original material supervised by Tite Kubo himself. It dominated weekly rankings seven times out of twelve and was voted Best Anime of Fall 2024.

Why Part 4 matters

Part 4 is not just “the last cour” — this is where the whole TYBW adaptation has to land the ending. Manga readers already know the final stretch had plenty of debate back in the day, so the confirmation that Kubo is adding even more original material is a big deal. If done right, this could make the anime version feel like the definitive version of BLEACH’s ending.

For older Malaysian fans who grew up with Ichigo, Rukia, Byakuya, and the Gotei 13, this is basically one last ride. For newer anime fans who discovered BLEACH through TYBW, it’s the payoff to one of shonen’s biggest comeback stories.

No cap, this final part has pressure on it. But if the previous three parts are anything to go by, The Calamity could give BLEACH the closing chapter it deserves.
