Bleach fans, your wallet may need to start training bankai.
Kotowari has revealed Bleach x LAM -Soul Art Showcase-, a new merchandise collaboration built around fresh character artwork by illustrator LAM. The collection is launching through both an online store and limited-time pop-up shops in Japan, tying neatly into the hype for the final season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity, which begins airing in July 2026.
For Malaysian and SEA fans, this is one of those “Japan-only but still very relevant” drops. Bleach has a massive fanbase here, and LAM’s sharp, stylish art direction makes this feel less like random character goods and more like display-worthy collector merch.
Who is featured in the Bleach x LAM collection?
The showcase includes new LAM illustrations for five Bleach characters:
- Ichigo Kurosaki
- Grimmjow Jaegerjaques
- Yoruichi Shihoin
- Riruka Dokugamine
- Sui-Feng / Soifon
That lineup is pretty spicy. Ichigo is the obvious anchor, but Grimmjow and Yoruichi usually move merch fast because their designs are already strong. Riruka getting included is also a nice pull for fans who like the less obvious character picks.
Online sales start April 24
Kotowari’s online store will begin selling the Bleach x LAM items on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 10am JST. For Malaysia, that is 9am MYT, so if the web store allows overseas forwarding or proxy buying, local fans may want to be ready early.
The cheapest item listed is an illustration card at ¥330, which is roughly RM10 before any fees. At the higher end, the T-shirt costs ¥7,700, around RM220–RM230 before shipping, service charges, and possible taxes. The full range also includes the usual anime merch favourites:
- Badges
- Stickers
- Clear files
- Acrylic stands
- Acrylic blocks
- T-shirts
- Illustration cards
Basically, plenty of desk shrine material. The acrylic stands and blocks will probably be the most tempting if the LAM artwork really pops.
Japan pop-up store schedule
Kotowari is also running temporary physical shops in three Japanese cities:
| City | Venue | Dates | |---|---|---| | Tokyo | Shibuya SACS | April 24–26, 2026 | | Osaka | i Gallery Osaka | May 1–10, 2026 | | Fukuoka | Amu Est 1F Pop Up Stage | May 29–June 7, 2026 |
If you’re already planning a Japan trip around Golden Week or early summer, the Osaka and Fukuoka windows are worth noting. For everyone else in Malaysia, this is likely going to be a proxy-order situation unless Kotowari opens international-friendly checkout.
Why this matters for Bleach fans in SEA
The timing is the big thing here. The Calamity is the final part of the Thousand-Year Blood War anime, so expect Bleach visibility to climb again through mid-2026. Merch drops like this usually hit harder when a major anime season is around the corner, especially for long-running series with older fans who now have actual spending power.
And honestly, Bleach has always been a design-first franchise. The swords, coats, masks, poses — it translates extremely well into art merch. Pairing it with LAM gives the collection a more modern collector look instead of feeling like standard anime goods.
If Kotowari shares more details on international ordering, that will be the real make-or-break for Malaysian fans. Until then, this is one to bookmark, especially if you collect Ichigo, Yoruichi, or Grimmjow merch.
