Death Note’s Misa Amane Gets a Gothic Fashion Collection from QOOZA

Japanese fashion brand QOOZA has launched a new Death Note collaboration, and this one is aimed straight at fans who always thought Misa Amane had the best wardrobe in the room.

The collection takes inspiration from Misa’s gothic style and turns it into a small lineup of everyday fashion pieces. Instead of just another anime logo tee drop, QOOZA is leaning into the actual character aesthetic — dark, dramatic, slightly punk, and very Misa.

What’s in the collection?

The Death Note x QOOZA lineup includes four items:

  • MISA TEE
  • MISA LACE LEATHER DRESS
  • MISA BACKPACK
  • MISA ANKLE BOOTS

The source material describes the range as a gothic fashion lineup designed for daily wear, with pieces including a backpack, boots, T-shirt, and faux leather dress. That makes this more interesting than the usual “anime graphic slapped on black cotton” collab. For fans who like subtle-but-obvious anime fits, especially the kind you can actually wear to conventions, café hangouts, or ACG events, this is very much the lane.

Limited-time orders, international buying supported

Orders are open through QOOZA’s online store until May 6, 2026, unless the items sell out earlier. International purchasing is supported through Buyee, which matters for Malaysia and SEA fans because QOOZA is a Japan-based brand.

So yes, Malaysian fans can technically try to get in on this — but as always with Japanese fashion imports, remember to check the final checkout total properly. Shipping, proxy service fees, currency conversion, and possible import-related costs can turn a “maybe okay lah” purchase into a “bro why is my cart crying” situation very fast.

Still, for Death Note collectors and Misa fans, this kind of fashion collab hits different. Misa’s look has always been one of the most recognisable in anime: gothic, idol-coded, dramatic without being random. Even years after the anime aired, her style still fits naturally into current ACG fashion spaces, especially among fans who like darker streetwear, gothic lolita-inspired outfits, or cosplay-adjacent daily wear.

Why Death Note still has pull

Death Note remains one of those rare anime titles that refuses to fade out. The manga, written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2003 to 2006 and finished with 12 volumes. MADHOUSE later adapted it into a 37-episode anime directed by Tetsuro Araki, which aired from 2006 to 2007.

Since then, the franchise has expanded into live-action films, a TV drama, one-shot manga sequels collected in Death Note: Short Stories in 2021, and a new live-action adaptation that was announced in 2022.

For SEA anime fans, Death Note is basically one of the gateway shows. Even people who don’t follow seasonal anime properly usually know Light, L, Ryuk, and Misa. That’s why a character-focused fashion release like this makes sense — it taps into nostalgia, but the design direction still feels wearable for today’s anime crowd.

If you’re planning to grab anything, don’t wait too long. The order window is limited, and stock may run out before the May deadline.
