Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Gets New Blu-ray Exhibition as Fans Wait for Part 2 News

Demon Slayer fans are still waiting for the big Infinity Castle Part 2 announcement, but for now, the franchise is keeping the hype alive through its home video rollout in Japan.

According to ComicBook Anime, the official Demon Slayer website has confirmed a Blu-ray & DVD All-In-One Exhibition tied to the first Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle film. The event is happening on May 16 and May 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.

This is not a new trailer drop or Part 2 reveal, so jangan get too excited yet. The showcase is more focused on the Japanese home video release — package samples, pre-orders, limited editions, store-specific bonuses, special goods, and staff recommendations. Basically, it is the kind of event hardcore collectors will makan up, especially those who care about physical anime releases.

The timing makes sense. The Japanese Blu-ray and DVD release is set for July 29, 2026, and for now, that date only applies to Japan. International fans, including those of us in Malaysia and SEA, still do not have confirmed details for a local home video release or streaming availability.

That streaming question is probably the biggest one for casual fans here. The movie’s theatrical run reportedly ended in April, and it also had a special Screen X release in March. Usually, once a cinema run wraps up, fans start expecting streaming or digital news not long after. But as of now, Demon Slayer has not announced where or when Infinity Castle will be available globally after cinemas.

For Malaysian fans, this matters because Demon Slayer is not just a niche anime title anymore. Infinity Castle’s first film became the most successful anime movie of all time, which means the next two movies have massive expectations on them. Whether you watched it in cinema with the squad or you are waiting to rewatch at home, the lack of streaming info is frustrating — especially when the story is already deep in its final, most chaotic arc.

Story-wise, Infinity Castle is where everything gets serious. Muzan Kibutsuji, the main target of the Demon Slayer Corps, has hidden himself inside the shifting fortress known as the Infinity Castle. It is not just a spooky final dungeon either. The place is crawling with demons, and the remaining Upper Moons are still a huge problem.

The first film already removed two Upper Moons from the board, but three are still standing, including Upper Rank One and Upper Rank Two. Kokushibo has not properly entered the battlefield yet, while Doma has already clashed with Kanao after killing Shinobu Kocho. Then there is Nakime, the newly promoted Upper Rank Four, whose Blood Demon Art controls the entire castle. She can observe what is happening inside and twist the layout however she wants.

That makes Nakime a massive strategic target. As long as she is in control, the Demon Slayers are basically trapped in Muzan’s home ground with no easy escape route. And even if they survive the Upper Moons, they still have to face Muzan himself — a demon king whose terror has lasted for more than a thousand years.

While there is no major new anime project announced for the rest of the year, Japan is still keeping Demon Slayer visible. Several TV networks, including Fuji TV, are broadcasting the full series from April 2026, excluding the latest film.

So for now, the update is simple: Japan gets the Blu-ray exhibition, Japanese fans get the July home video release, and everyone else waits. Hopefully, this rollout means a proper global streaming announcement is coming soon, because bro, the wait for Infinity Castle Part 2 is already painful enough.
